Part of our mission is to teach the craft of making radio to anyone that wants to learn. We believe that it's important to help make the airwaves accesible to all, not just the famous or those with connections. Got an idea for a radio program, please drop us a line and we'll get the ball rolling. If you have ideas but don't have any intention of being in front of a microphone, that's not a problem. Your ideas could be the basis of a program that you and a group of others with similar interests can produce. Making quality radio programs takes effort, and many hands make less work.
Our blog is for you, the listeners of Ithaca Community Radio, to share your thoughts with the community. We value communication and want everyone's voice to be heard and we'd love your input.
Because Ithaca Community Radio is a grassroots initiative, we need everyone's help in building our programming.
There are several programming topics that will help shape the sound of Ithaca Community Radio:Our blog is now open to our community. Visit and discuss what you want your radio station to be.
Besides joining the discussion, you can join the effort to build our community's radio station in many ways. You can support by being part of our efforts, from volunteering to learning to produce radio programs, to helping raise funds and more.
Please see our support page to see details of what we need as well as how to send a tax-deductible donation.
Connect to others in our community; read about and discuss how to create your Ithaca Community Radio. Visitors to our blog can discuss their ideas and learn more about our plans for future programs. Facebook users can get updates, give us feedback, and also comment, but our blog is more accomodating of longer form discussions and dialogue.
