We need to raise funds to bring our full power broadcast services on-air. Please help support our efforts to establish a local, community owned and operated radio station with a mission of serving our communities.

Once we are able to begin our full power broadcasts, Ithaca Community Radio can better serve our communities by providing radio for the people by the people to a wider audience.

Lend a Hand, Join us in Building Our Community Radio Station

There are several ways you can help Ithaca Community Radio. Becoming involved in the growth of Ithaca Community Radio is vital to the success of this grassroots project. It takes many hands to build a successful community radio station, and we'd love for as many community members as possible to get involved.

Whether you have previous radio experience or you're interested in learning, we welcome your willingness to help. Even if you believe your skills may not be radio-oriented, we have many other projects beyond radio production that could use some assistance.

If you'd like to to learn to "make radio," please sign up for one of our radio production workshops. You'll be taught the basics of radio journalism, learning to interview, record, edit, and produce your very own stories. And you'll have fun while working with some of your neighbors from the Finger Lakes community. Several of your friends and neighbors have already completed the workshops and you can join them in creating your community's radio station.

We Appreciate Donations of any Amount

By making a financial contribution, you will support ICR's immediate need for funding short and long-term projects. This includes covering current operating costs and the cost of licenses and facilities for originating future programming. We do not receive any financial support from WEOS, nor do we receive funds from any of their on-air underwriters. All of our operating expenses are paid for by the generous support of our listeners.

Donations to Ithaca Community Radio are tax deductible (under 501c3 status). We are using the New York Council of Nonprofits' "Innovative Charitable Initiatives" (ICI) as our fiscal agent. At this time, only checks, money orders, or cash contributions are tax deductible, and must be made out to Innovative Charitable Initiatives, with Ithaca Community Radio in the memo line, or vice versa.

Donations with PayPal are also possible too. Unfortunately, PayPal donations are not tax-deductible at this time. We regret any inconvenience, and we anticipate being able to receive PayPal contributions under tax deductible status in the near future. Please continue to check the website for updates.

Construction of our brand new broadcasting studio in The Clinton House. We're very excited to be completing the project and to begin producing local content to the Finger Lakes community!

Ithaca Community Radio is teaching radio production skills. Your participation is vital to a station whose voice reflects its communities of service.

We could use help ranging from data entry to graphic design to the various managerial and technical skills necessary to operate a modern radio station.
